Sometimes we struggle to find a good hairdresser, I have known hairdressers in the past who just want to clone you with the current trends rather than listening to what you as a client wants.
I am very lucky to have found a hairdresser who listens to my requirements but is also on hand to advise.
I have been going to Gari for the past couple of years and in that time he has also become a very dear friend.
Recently whilst participating in a charity fashion show with Gari I actually had the pleasure of learning the extent of his experience as he is not one to brag about his past.
At the very start of his career Gari trained as the London College of Fashion and passed with distinction.
He then went on to work for Sanrizz in Knightsbridge, Vidal Sasoon in Covent Garden, Anton Michael in Covent Garden, and Paul Nath Hair in Shaftsbury Avenue.
Whilst at Paul Nath he started freelancing as a session stylist working for magazines including Clubland, Looks, Vogue, Cosmopolitan & FHM.
He has also done the hair for artists pop videos such as the Spice Girls, Robbie Williams, Five as well as creating hairstyles for movies such as “Spice World the movie”, channel 4 short film “Blue Moon” and an independent film “Sorted”.
He was also the personal stylist for Italian model/singer Lorenz for 2 years.
As if the above isn’t enough for his personal achievement he has also produced, directed and he choreographed several charity fashion shows.
He came 3rd in the country for K.M.S young stars of tomorrow in 1991, he has also come 4th in the country for a national campaign for GHD.
These day’s one of Gari specialities is bridal hair and for those who would prefer to have the stress taken out of their big day by having their hairdresser come too them on the morning of their special occasion to assist the bridal party he is more than happy to come to your home or venue to help you elevate some of the pressure.
