Hi my name is Donna and I am the owner of Top Hat & Veils (parent company of Wedding Tiaras UK) and I am based in Morden, Surrey (UK). I have many years of experience within the wedding industry and I understand how important your wedding day is to you personally. I am passionate in supplying unique and exquisite accessories that are like no other at affordable prices with the aim of playing a small part of helping you make your dreams come true.

How did Top Hat and Veils come to be?

While I was preparing for my own wedding back in 2004, I struggled to find a place where I could purchase quality wedding accessories that were both unique and portrayed the WOW factor.  One of the accessories that I particularly had difficulty in finding was my dream tiara. Simply because I wanted something that was both exquisite, had a lot of sparkle and was an affordable price. I eventually did find it but it came with a price tag of £300.00.

This price was definitely not an amount which I classed as affordable but I had no choice but to buy it.  To make matters worse, my wedding hairdresser took one look at the tiara and told me that I would be able to wear the £300 tiara because its design and weight was not suitable for my short hair.

To add to my disappointment even further, when I returned to the shop and explained the situation, I was told by the shop assistant that I could not return the tiara because of their health and safety policy.  Even though I explained that the item had never been worn; they said that under no circumstances could I return the item for refund.

I wanted to be in a position whereby I could offer future brides to be a better service than this so four years later I decided to start my own business Top Hat & Veils.

My mission

Every bride to be has her own preference on what she wishes to wear and how much she wants to spend so it was important to me that my collection included a variety of different styles and prices that suited all budgets but never compromise on the quality.

My first achievement

Initially I specialised in a range of tiaras and headpieces that were like no other but were also affordable.  I attended a number of wedding fairs so as to promote my products. The reaction that I received was absolutely fantastic (much to the annoyance of my competitors).

This was exactly the reaction I had wished for and many customers purchased items from me there and then.

My business grew

Following the success of the tiaras & headpieces I extended my collection to include jewellery sets and headpieces that were suitable for bridesmaids & flower girls.

Since starting my business my collection has also appealed to a wider clientele and customers have purchased items for their school proms and Holy Communions.

I shall continue to expand my business ensuring that at all times I only supply a range of quality accessories that exemplify true splendour.
